Role summary:
As the Product Director for ENSEK’s area, Optimise, you are responsible for the strategic direction and effective execution of a portfolio of products including our existing Flex product and future agentic customer management products. This is an exciting opportunity to build the capabilities required for energy companies to thrive in the future low-carbon energy system and to accelerate the energy transition.
ENSEK’s products will help the world’s largest and most complex energy companies delight their customers, offer innovative new products and services, and improve their operating efficiency. Your job is to set product direction ensuring customers and users, vision, commercial goals, competitive / industry intelligence, and delivery feasibility are at the forefront of your thinking.
Your portfolio today has found early product market fit and is ready for rapid growth and scale, looking to drive 10x increases in revenues and customer numbers within 12 months. Product is key to this growth. This role is varied in content and individuals successful in this role will think and plan strategically as well as execute tactically. To succeed in this role, you must relish working with passion at pace and be comfortable with ambiguity and innovation.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
• You will be accountable for defining and achieving your organisational key results (OKR’s) along with your technology and commercial partner – see metrics below.
• You will talk and collaborate with customers regularly defining and seeking feedback on roadmaps as well as listening and planning to resolve issues and enhancements to current products.
• You ensure customer insights (through data and research) inform portfolio and market expansion and anticipate customer needs and prevent churn.
• You will work with sales, support, marketing, customer success teams, engineering and technology as key stakeholders who input into your roadmap while articulating customer value propositions.
• You will have or gain deep knowledge of your industry, technology and competitive moves to help define your strategy while also evangelising your product in the wider industry anticipating the impact of emerging technologies on portfolio strategy.
• You assess build vs. buy vs. partner decisions, ensuring acquisitions are well-integrated into the organisation or building and managing strategic partnerships to accelerate portfolio growth when that path is taken.
• You guide teams in leveraging technology for innovation, in particular you champion AI as a strategic capability across the portfolio building organization-wide AI literacy and capability – you will do this through your own AI adoption and push towards prototypes, AI usage with AI-first thinking, and bringing AI products to your customers.
• You are responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing your product management team through regular feedback on performance and behaviours as well as guiding them to achieve their personal growth aspirations.

• Increasing annual recurring revenue
• Reduction in customer churn
• Driving new product and feature adoption in market
• Increasing product NPS (and Trust Pilot where relevant) scores
• Attainment of Quality products in relation to Service levels (availability), Operational levels (bugs), Security, and management of tech debt with Engineering and technology managers
• Management of team costs to budget
• Increasing employee NPS scores
• Increase in customer won analysis as it relates to products gaps and innovation
Skills, knowledge, experience & qualifications:
• Demonstratable experience working in product and/or consultancy, ideally within an enterprise B2B SaaS scale-up context
• Track record of bringing complex global products to market with successful go-to-market plans.
• Ownership of P&L’s, budget setting and tracking, with ability to create sound business cases.
• Experience of working with data and AI to develop products that drive real value to consumers and customers
• Experience in working with cross-functional leadership team contributing to the success of the business unit.
• Strong people management experience, including building teams from scratch and scaling existing teams
